Prof (Dr) Durgesh Pant is among the earliest adopters and pioneers of Computer Science and Information Technology in the Uttarakhand Himalayan region of the country. He is credited with establishing the Department of Computer Science of Kumaun University Nainital as early as 1989-90. He has been instrumental in the establishment of many institutions as Head of Department and Convener of Computer Science, Kumaun University. He has extensively worked for strengthening the ODL (Open and Distance learning) paradigm since 1994 through his association with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) first as its counselor and later as its coordinator from 1999 for about 11 years. He has also been associated with the establishment of Open University in the state in Uttarakhandin the year 2005.tablishing Uttarakhand Open University's school of Computer Science & IT in July, 2010. He established Dehradun Campus of Uttarakhand Open University in November, 2010 as its founding Director resulting in ODL's phenomenal spread inGarhwal region of the state since then.He also held the additional charge of the Director, Uttarakhand Space Application centre (USAC) for about three years. Under his guidance, USAC scaled new heights and started several new initiatives in association with ISRO and other organizations of repute.

Mr. Amit earned his graduation and then pursued his higher education also from Uttarakhand and is enrolled for PhD in Journalism & Mass Communication (an evaluative study of Public relation & Tourism, Specific - Uttarakhand) from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun.

Mr. Amit Pokhriyal has more than 10 years experience in field of Adminstrative & Public relation in Government & Private Institutions. He has vast experience of experience from institutes like Social Welfare Department, Dehradun, Ayurvedic Medical College Dehradun and worked in Chief Minister, Uttarakhand office from Mid 2009 to Sept. 2011 as a Public Relation Officer and Media Coordinator . He worked efficiently for public relation, Media Management, Arrangement of Press Conferences, Writing Press Release, Making of Speech for eminent authorities.

In UCOST he has been a regular member for organizing Science Workshop/ Seminar /Symposium and mega event - Science Congress. He looks after Publication and some part of administration of the council. He regularly writes articles for newspaper and magazines for the promotion of Science & Scientific activities.

He is an active member of Public Relation Society of India (PRSI), Dehradun Chapter which is a national body which promotes and share latest practices in the field of Public Relation by Organizing workshops and seminars.

Mr. Subhash Negi did his graduation from Uttarakhand and MBA in HRM from Maharashtra. He has valid experience of 8 years in marketing, channel development, purchase, procurement and licensing. He is also proficient in managing large projects related to social affair and development along with planning and public administration.

He has been efficient in managing and developing of river bank filtration in Uttarakhand, an joint project of Water Technology Initiative (WTI) program of Department of Science and Technology (Gov. of India), New Delhi; Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan (UJS), Dehradun and UCOST. Further, he has also been associated with a joint venture of UCOST, UJS and USERC in water quality sector and has successfully coordinated the project activities. He has a good experience of working in govt. sectors and has specialization of implementation of planed activities within budgetary limits and time frame focusing on achievable targets. He has good communication and presentation skills and has ability to plan and execute the tasks assigned.

Earlier, under MGNREGA, Mr. Negi has worked in Pauri Garhwal district and through various activities like floods control, rural connectivity, land development, water conservation, water harvesting, renovation of traditional water bodies, drought proofing, laying of irrigation canals and local infrastructure sector, he has successfully played a crucial development role in three blocks namely Duggada, Zaharikhal and Rikhnikhal of Pauri and also led to increase in budget 7 times during 2008-12.

Recently, Mr. Negi is engaged in all ongoing activities of the council related to development of scientific tamper among students, youth and common masses of Uttarakhand utilizing scientific tools, models, exhibition and other science and technology oriented activities and programmes across the state. His present responsibilities are related to Regional Science Centre under establishment of council's premises.

Mr. Rawat has a total experience of 7 years, with PCS Technology, Wipro and Uttarakhand Space Application center. As Employee with PCS Technology, he worked on the ONGC project as IT Engineer. After that he joined Wipro as MIT Engineer where he handled different sites and the Technical IT issues like: Server, switch, router, and network. Later, he worked with Uttarakhand Space application center (USAC) as Technical Assistant on EDUSAT project where he along with his Team handled the Edusat Hub and various SIT in Uttrakhand. From January,2013 he is working with Uttarakhand state council for Science & Technology (UCOST) as D.T.E. Operator for Regional Science Center (RSC), Dehradun where his work would be operating and maintaining the science centre and to look over various types of exhibit.

Skills: CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Professional ( MCP),SATCOM Network.

He has a 8 years experience working at various capacities with organizations like Power Grid India Corporation India Limited (PGICL), Om Hateshwari Hydro Power Project, NOV Sara India Pvt. Ltd. His major work responsibilities included handling of Transmission, Sub-station, switch Yard and all electric control panel. During his stint at NOV Sara India Pvt. Ltd, which is manufacturing oil rig equipments for ONGC & other oil companies, he has handled commission & installation of equipment & Machinery.

Soniya has five years of academic and professional experience in teaching. Earlier she was a Technical Assistant in Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering Collage, Pauri Garhwal. Her major responsibilities were to assist the S&T faculties for conducting practical's for the students of BE and B.Tech.

Presently she is working in a Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) as a Demonstrator in regional science center, Dehradun. The work profile is to demonstrate the exhibits of science museum and equipment. Also the important role is encouraging or popularization of science, scientific teaching aids for science education. She has also given a popular lecture on Digital Science in IGNITED projects, DST GoI Sponsored Project.

Mr. Nitin Kapil has seven years Exp. in Planning and Execution of work, coordination with the Agencies/contractors to maintain the sequence of activities and preparation on contractor 'bills. Besides he has an experience as an Erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance viz 11 kv/440 volts substation, layout diagrams of different types of wiring and HT and LT cables and transmission of any type at Indian institute of remote sensing (IIRS) Dehradun. Presently he is working in a Uttarakhand state council for science and technology (UCOST) as a Demonstrator in regional science centre Dehradun. The work profile is to demonstrate the exhibits of science museum.

He have 7 year experience from Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nanoor khera, Raipur road Dehradun in the area of electrical. his major work in the council is to operate the electric tools and is working in the council as a plant operator.
